CMK Town Council Launch New Website
CMK Town Council are pleased to announce the launch of our new website, www.cmktowncouncil.gov.uk. The website aims to help residents living in CMK and Campbell Park be better informed about the work of the Town Council and what’s happening in our city-centre ‘neighbourhood.’
The website has a number of new areas covering ‘news and views,’ local events and local groups. Additional functionality has also been added, allowing residents to complete surveys online, give consultation feedback, and easily send comments and views to the Town Council and other local representatives.
At the heart of one of the fastest growing areas in the UK with over 1,000 businesses and hundreds of shops and restaurants, most people don’t realise that CMK is also the home to 3,000 residents, with thousands of more homes planned over the next 15 years.
“Good communication is so important to building stronger communities,” says Dr Rebecca Kurth, Chair of CMK Town Council. “From new development proposals to driverless pods, there’s a lot of change coming to CMK, and whilst it’s easy to be cynical about the political process, the truth is that better decisions get made when informed and caring residents are engaged.”
