Proposed Parking Charges Cut

Proposed £50 a year parking charges for CMK residents were slashed to £25 after campaigning by residents supported by CMK Town Council.

.
Milton Keynes Council decided at their budget meeting last month to reduce the proposed charge from £50 to £25, but otherwise approved the plan to bring in the charge.  Although this is not the outcome the Town Council was hoping for, it shows the impact the representations made by residents and the Town Council had in having the proposed charge reduced.
 .
The £25 annual charge will come in when residents next renew their parking permits. Additionally, a £1 for 24 hours pay-as-you-go permit is available for visitors.
