Town Council Meeting April 2016
There will be a meeting of the Council at 6pm at Centrecom Meeting Place. Members of the public are welcome and will be given an opportunity at the beginning of the meeting to make statements on issues on the agenda or other matters relating to the parish of Central Milton Keynes. This event is an open session for musicians, sound artists and non-musicians who are interested in exploring improvisation and developing new musical relationships. Bring your own instruments/equipment/objects (and amplification should you require it). MK Gallery will provide the PA, Mics, DI’s and the space for exploration. On Thursday 21 April employees and residents of Central Milton Keynes will gather at Xscape for the first ‘Love Where You Live’ spring clean of 2016, in association with MKCCM, McDonalds and Keep Britain Tidy. The group will meet in the Xscape branch of McDonalds at 12pm before challenging litter issues in the area. On Thursday 21 April 2016 Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II will celebrate her 90th birthday and across the UK, national beacons will be lit in her honour. Saturday Live Music
MK Gallery's regular Saturday Live Music evenings return with two exciting performers: Josephine Foster An American folk singer-songwriter with a background in a wide range of musical styles. Peter cuts Paul Paul Rippengal and Pete Bennie combine effected guitar and bass with improvisation and freely interpreted melodies over an array of loops and found sounds. International artists Boyd and Evans will be speaking as part of a series of events under the title Underpasses Connecting People, Connecting Places. On the occasion of the rehanging of 'Situation Comedy' at Central Library, the evening will also include a tour of the many Boyd and Evans paintings on display at the library.
