On Thursday 21 April employees and residents of Central Milton Keynes will gather at Xscape for the first ‘Love Where You Live’ spring clean of 2016, in association with MKCCM, McDonalds and Keep Britain Tidy. The group will meet in the Xscape branch of McDonalds at 12pm before challenging litter issues in the area.
A two hour drop in event has been planned allowing employees, residents and visitors time to join in on their lunch breaks. For this event, volunteers will tackle sections of Avebury and Midsummer Boulevard on a well-trodden route between Xscape, intu Milton Keynes and centre:mk.
CMK Street Warden, Rob Harriman, commented: “We look forward to meeting with residents and employees for the first event of 2016. We were delighted to learn that 250 people turned out in for Love Where You Live activities in 2015. We hope to see many of these people return, and build on this success and community spirit to make a difference in 2016!”
