Town Council Planning Committee Meeting
There will be a meeting of the Town Council's Planning Committee on Wednesday 21st December. The meeting will be held at the CMKTC offices on the 3rd floor, Margaret Powell House, 413 Midsummer Boulevard. Members of the public are welcome and will be given an opportunity at the beginning of the meeting to make statements on issues on the agenda or other matters relating to planning within the parish of Central Milton Keynes. A New City Comes to Life
The year of celebrations for MK50, Milton Keynes' 50th Anniversary, will kick off on January 10 in Middleton Hall. The exhibition will detail the story of the city, from dinosaur bones to driverless cars; from Stone Age nomads to the digital generation; from farms, sleepy villages and Victorian railway towns to a vibrant regional economic and cultural powerhouse of 260,000 people. Start the Art is a weekly session for children to get into art and enjoy the experiences of painting, drawing, mark-making and more. These interactive sessions, hosted by a group of friendly artists, run every Tuesday morning in MK Gallery's event space. Booking is essential via Eventbrite. In a carousel of short one-to-one conversations, diverse individuals will share personal stories of how they came to MK and what they like about its past, present and future. The aim of Weaving Trust events, of which several have been hosted by different MK organisations over the past 18 months, is to build trust between individuals and between their communities. Live Jazz at MK Gallery
Come to MK Gallery for an evening of jazz performances across a wide range of styles. The music will feature elements from throughout the genre’s history, from its origins in a fusion of cultures through to the cutting edge of modern avant-garde jazz music.
