Intu Public Inquiry Concluded
The public inquiry into plans to build over the open space at Midsummer Place concluded with a final three days of cross-examination at the end of November. The inspector’s recommendation to the Secretary of State, who called the inquiry after an appeal from CMK Town Council, is now awaited. It is not yet known when the ultimate decision is likely to be announced, although it is likely to be a number of months yet.
The additional three days were required when the original inquiry period in late September proved to not be enough time for all the cases to be heard.
