Council Finances

Like all parishes, the Town Council is funded through the parish ‘precept’ tax.  This is collected by Milton Keynes Council (MKC) through the annual ‘Council Tax’ bill and then paid in two instalments to the Town Council.

In 2024/25, CMK and Campbell Park households will pay an average of £55 per annum precept tax to support our work. This is significantly below the precept levied by the majority of the other urban parishes. It also represents a 30% reduction on previous years.

Financial statements are prepared for the Annual Parish Meeting each year.

There is a period of 30 working days every year during which members of the public can view the Town Council’s financial records.

The dates for 2024 and the details of the external audit process for the Town Council are given here:-  Making-provision-for-the-exercise-of-public-rights-PM-2023-24
