Milton Keynes Half-Marathon
The Milton Keynes Half Marathon and Festival of Running will take place on the 6th of March. The old half marathon, 5km and 10km runs are all back, along with a new '20 miler', ideal for anyone training towards the London Marathon later in the year. There will be a meeting of the CMK Residents' Forum on Thursday 17 March at 7pm. The forum provides an opportunity for representatives of each of the residential areas in CMK to come together and discuss issues that affect them all. Two musicians will be performing at the Milton Keynes Gallery on Saturday 19th March. Richard J Birkin is a self-taught composer whose works vary across a wide range of styles, ranging from folk songs though post rock to pieces for string quartets. Kemper Norton is an electronic musician who uses digital and analogue hardware and software, acoustic instruments, field recordings and traditional song to explore neglected or original areas of landscape and folklore. You can do yoga whilst helping people with thyroid disease in a special session at Sweat Studios in the Hub. Yoga is a powerful means of relieving stress in the body and can be particularly beneficial to those suffering from thyroid disease.
