Annual Meeting of the Parish
Meet members of your Town Council and share your thoughts on how we can improve the parish. There will be presentations on the proposed community centre and café in Campbell Park, the progress residents are making on their neighbourhood watch schemes, and updates on new developments in CMK. Light refreshments will be provided.

Women of all ages and abilities are invited to take part in the annual Race for Life, in aid of Cancer Research UK. Participants are welcome to run, walk or even dance their way round the course. Starting in Campbell Park, the race offers a choice of 5km or 10km runs. The 5km course is well suited to beginners and walkers, while the 10km option offers a challenge for more experienced runners. An event at the MK Rose in Campbell Park commemorating the contribution of local people to the First World War, starting at 10.30am. Visitors arriving by car are advised to park near the Theatre District and walk across the footbridge into Campbell Park.

There will be a meeting of the Council at 6pm at Centrecom Meeting Place. Members of the public are welcome and will be given an opportunity at the beginning of the meeting to make statements on issues on the agenda or other matters relating to the parish of Central Milton Keynes. After a successful Love Where You Live event in May, the team are returning to the North 11 and 12 Street Gardens on Thursday 23 June from 12-2pm to continue the amazing work done to clean up this area ready for the summer. Superman IV The Quest For Peace, starring Christopher Reeve and Gene Hackman, was filmed in Milton Keynes (which doubled as Metropolis) 30 years ago in 1986. With the help of local people, artist Richard DeDomenici will reshoot key scenes during the International Festival.
