Collaborate: Family Workshops
Visual artist James Aldridge has been appointed to lead MK Gallery’s pilot programme of artist-led outdoor learning, The Green Town Group. James combines sensory interaction - walking, collecting and making - with research into ecology and history. MK Playday
The annual MK Playday will return this year for another day of activities for children and families, promising to be the biggest and best Playday to date. Fun things to do at the event include water slides, bug hunting, den making and woodland play areas. There will also be fairground rides, an under-fives’ village, ‘fun on the stage’ sessions, and much more. Face painting will also be available, at a small charge. Thursday 11 August sees the return of the annual Love Where You Live 24 Hour Clean Up event! A group of hardy volunteers will set off from the Xscape branch of McDonalds at 10am before taking on a 24 hour, 24 mile route around Milton Keynes. Residents are welcome to join the group for as little or as long as you like. Campbell Park Sculpture Walk
A walk around Campbell Park looking at the various sculptures, including the relatively new memorial to Edna Read. Meet at the Campbell Park Pavilion.
