Race for Life
Women of all ages and abilities are invited to take part in the annual Race for Life, in aid of Cancer Research UK. Participants are welcome to run, walk or even dance their way round the course. Starting in Campbell Park, the race offers a choice of 5km or 10km runs. The 5km course is well suited to beginners and walkers, while the 10km option offers a challenge for more experienced runners. MK Playday
The annual MK Playday will return this year for another day of activities for children and families, promising to be the biggest and best Playday to date. Fun things to do at the event include water slides, bug hunting, den making and woodland play areas. There will also be fairground rides, an under-fives’ village, ‘fun on the stage’ sessions, and much more. Face painting will also be available, at a small charge. Campbell Park Sculpture Walk
A walk around Campbell Park looking at the various sculptures, including the relatively new memorial to Edna Read. Meet at the Campbell Park Pavilion. MK Bike Week includes a range of activities for employees and the public at workplaces and venues around the city including the Bike Smoothie Challenge, free Dr Bike, bike security marking, advice from the Why Weight team about healthy eating, Road Safety advice for cyclists and drivers, SmartGo sustainable travel benefits scheme, and general cycling and walking advice. Get your bike some TLC with a free safety check by a qualified mechanic from Corley Cycles. Plus, free cycle marking/registration by Thames Valley Police and safety and security advice will be available. You can also get google maps of cycling events.
