CMK’s Fred Roche Gardens will be lit up on the night of November 15th by the stunning Garden of Light Festival. Come along and enjoy dramatic fire performances, ultraviolet balloon modelling, stilt walking, refreshments, ultraviolet face painting, interactive workshops, and more. There will also be music coutesey of MKFM, as well as the African drumming group Moribayassa.
Fred Roche Gardens, formerly known as City Gardens, is located behind Christ the Cornerstone Church. One of CMK’s many surprising hidden features, the Gardens provide a public park for office workers and residents alike. They were renamed in 2013 in honour of Fred Roche, the former General Manager of the Milton Keynes Development Corporation and the driving force behind the city’s early development.
The festival will run from 4pm to 8pm. A lantern parade will also take place, starting at The Hub:MK at 4pm and travelling across to Fred Roche Gardens. For more information, please see the Inter-Action MK website at www.interactionmk.org.
