Gallery Searches for MK Young Filmmaker of the Year
Milton Keynes Gallery is looking for young people aged between 14 and 19 to produce and submit a short film of up to 3 minutes in length for their Young Filmmaker of the Year Competition.
Entrants are being asked to consider how they might respond creatively to the “City Club” theme. City Club was the name given to a proposed leisure complex planned for Milton Keynes in the 1970s. More details about that are here.
The winners, along with a selection of other entries, will have their worked screened in the MK Gallery Project Space and across the city at the end of the year. Various prizes will be awarded in four age categories: 4 to 6 years, 7 to 10 years, 11 to 14 years and 15 to 19 years.
Filmmaking Masterclasses for ages 16+ will be held at the Gallery on Friday 5 and Friday 19 August from 10am to 4pm. Tickets cost £5 and can be booked here or by telephoning the Information Desk on 01908 676 900.
