Until November 2021

Work is starting to install a signalised junction at Avebury Boulevard/Grafton Gate. The scheme will add an additional lane at Grafton Gate (northbound) to help ease congestion.

The work will be carried out in two phases- Phase 1 begins on 24 March for 3 weeks- retail car park access closure. The remaining works will be carried out in Phase 2-due to be started in May/June 2021 and finish by November 2021.

To carry out the work safely it will be necessary for lane closures and full road closures within the vicinity of the works. Signage will be in place to advise of any lane closures and diversionary routes for vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists. Notification of Works Phases 1 & 2 – V6 Grafton St

Until September 2021

The effect of the order-no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to enter, wait in or proceed along the following length of road from 6th March 2021 – 6th September 2021:-
• Avebury Boulevard, Central Milton Keynes – Road Between carparking bays to north side of Avebury Boulevard between South Fifth Street and South Sixth Street.

The temporary closure Order is necessary to enable works to be carried out on the highway. The temporary Order will come into effect on 6th March 2021, and will remain in effect for a period of 6 months and will take effect at times only when indicated by the appropriate traffic signs, which will be erected in advance of any closure. Until July 2022

The Council is satisfied that by reason of the likelihood of danger to the public during the Coronavirus pandemic
(Covid-19) that the following temporary measures be introduced to help provide a safe and controlled area
outside the temporary vaccination facility in Central Milton Keynes (CMK) during the pandemic:-

Road Closure of:-  Saxon Gate (east side), Avebury Boulevard (south side) between Saxon Gate and the entrance to Saxon Court), South Row (between Saxon Gate and South Eighth Street, South row (south side) between South Eighth Street and South Ninth Street, Avebury Boulevard (south side) between South Eighth Street and the main entrance to Saxon Court. The closure of South Eighth Street and Redway CMK 05 is also allowed, but will not be undertaken unless absolutely necessary. Here Maps for Order-Saxon Court

Until January 2022

The effect of the above Order, no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to enter, wait in or proceed along the following length of road:-
• Carpark adjacent to the John Lewis Multi Storey car park adjacent to Marlborough Gate (6th July 2020 – 6th January 2022). Whilst the above length of road is closed the alternative route for pedestrians will be via midsummer Boulevard, Marlborough gate and Silbury Boulevard (and vice versa).Here

Until December 2020 (ongoing)

The effect of the above Order, the temporary prohibition of vehicles and pedestrians from entering, waiting or proceeding along Redway 01, Central Milton Keynes for the development of a  new data centre. Whilst closed the alternative route will be via Midsummer Boulevard, Grafton Gate and Silbury Boulevard (and vice versa). A map of the closure is Here 

Until October 2020 (ongoing)

The effect of the above Order, no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to enter, wait in or proceed along the following length of road from 30th March 2020 for a period of up to 6 months:- North Row- south east accessway between Saxon Gate and the porte cochere between North Sixth Street and North Seventh Street. Saxon Gate- south west accessway between North Row and the access road leading to Saxon Gate. A map of the closure is here 

Until July 2020(Ongoing)

The effect of the above Order will be to prohibit vehicles from entering, waiting in or proceeding along Upper Second Street, from its junction with Silbury Boulevard for approximately 30 metres south/east. Whilst the length of road is closed the alternative route will be via Silbury Boulevard, Upper Fourth Street and Midsummer Boulevard (and vice versa). A map of the closure is Here

Until May 2020(Ongoing)

The effect of the above Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles and pedestrians from entering, waiting or proceeding along Redway 01, Central Milton Keynes, for the development of a new data centre. Whilst he above length of redway is closed the alternative route (diversion route) will be via Midsummer Boulevard, Grafton Gate and Silbury Boulevard (and vice versa). A map of the closure is Here
